Liz Tomey here from TacoBoutMarketing.com and last week my laptop was stolen from my condo here in Mexico while I slept. I woke up to my front door open, looked over and my laptop was gone... 😳
My first thought
wasn't even my own safety. It was...
"OMG! 18 years’ worth of stuff is gone..."
Yes, I'm thankful for my safety, but to say this has been a gut wrenching experience is an understatement.
I did have EVERYTHING backed up to an external harddrive...
... that was also taken with the laptop.
So, I lost everything, and when I say everything... I mean EVERYTHING!
I never have backed anything up to a cloud or anything because I had my external harddrive.
Absolutely stupid of me!
I've kicked myself enough so no need for emails telling me what I should have done. It's done...
However, my advice is for you to get some kind of cloud backup.
I've now got OneDrive installed on my computer and ONLY use the OneDrive drive on my laptop for everything. It's also backed up to my Google Drive. Just to be double safe...
Google photos had my photos backed up so my personal stuff was safe, but all business stuff is GONE.
Don't worry though... You still have access to everything you've purchased because it was all on my server. Thank God for that! I would have had a real mess on my hands. 🤦♀️
Anyway, I spent
last week "licking my wounds" and celebrating Dia de los Muertos here in Mexico. My best friend came here from Tennessee to celebrate with me. We had an amazing time (if you're my Facebook friend you saw the pictures and can tell we had a blast 😍 ), but now it's time to get back to work.
